The red wine Lupicaia Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2012 from the winery Castello del Terriccio has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant ruby with a pronounced garnet note. Somewhat restrained on the nose, subtle notes of chocolate and cassis, with plenty of tobacco. Pithy tannin characterizes the attack and finish, dark berry fruit in the mid-palate, then quite rough and drying in the finish, lots of tobacco in the aftertaste.
