The red wine Lupicaia Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Castello del Terriccio has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby with a slight purple sheen. Opens with emphatically earthy notes of black truffle and graphite, then cassis liqueur and elderberries emerge. Grippy tannins in many layers on the palate are interwoven with fine texture and create plenty of drive. The finish is cassis-scented.

More about the tastingDeep dark, rich ruby red. Delicate spice on the nose underpinned by ripe wild berry, not overly expressive, more delicate and elegant. On the palate it is densely woven, textured, with taut tannin and excellent tension, shows itself to be generous and inviting, already very approachable, finishes with earthy tones.
