The red wine Vigneto la Casuccia Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2022 from the winery Castello di Ama has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Deep, rich ruby red colour, bright. Rich nose, cherry, Amarena, bitter almond, some alcohol, stewed plums, fine stony notes on the finish. Finely-meshed on the palate, with great drive, develops on dark fruit, long finish, young tannin in the aftertaste, still needs some time, already a small monument.
