Bright ruby red with a shimmering core. The nose has a slight hint of varnish, fine oak, then ripe cherry fruit and forest fruit, reminiscent of braised liver in the aftertaste. On the palate grippy, hearty tannins, deep, good juiciness, but then collapses in the middle section and remains rough.
