The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva, vintage 2009 from the winery Castello il Palagio has been rated in 2013 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Chianti classico in Italy.
Sparkling ruby with garnet rim. Very clear and memorable nose, lots of ripe, present cherry, slightly green-spicy notes in the background. Firm, firm tannins on the palate, opens up very well, pronounced salty notes on the finish, long finish.
