The red wine La Prima Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery Castello Vicchiomaggio has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, elegant ruby red. The nose is spicy and expressive, inviting, showing subtle notes of freshly baked bread, ripe cherries, then bright spices and dried flowers. Fleshy palate with great fruit and hearty well-integrated acidity, with lots of elegance and bright flow, very well done this year!
