Tasting from 16.02.2018: Benjamin Herzog, Ulrich Sautter, Dominik Vombach

There are aromas of sandalwood and nougat, although it is overall still closed on the nose. On the palate it is fruit rich, with ripe tannins in an appropriate and relatively strong strong dose. Yet it is not rough, and there is an intensity, a natural-looking fruit accompaniment, and a hearty minerality on the finish. Clearly there has been rock-solid vinification, and it should soon be able to be drunk with pleasure, and yet it also has 8-10 years definite ageing potential.
