The red wine Les Forts de Latour, vintage 2016 from the winery Château Latour has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot from the region Pauillac in France.
Intense deep ruby with purple reflections and a subtly lighter rim. There is a delicate tobacco and herbal undertone to the aromas of black berry fruit, touches of oak, a hint of cassis and smoky savouriness on the nose. A complex, firm body, with pleasantly pronounced fruit and vivid supporting tannins. There is a minerality on the finish, which has good length, medium complexity and persistence. Definite ageing potential.
