The red wine Perle rouge, vintage 2016 from the winery Château Le Lau has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Graves de Vayres in France.
Intensely balsamic, very ripe black cherry, liqueur-like and "sweet" undertones, black pepper, multi-layered. Powerful palate with grainy, dry tannins on a very plump base, mild acidity, the tannins support the structure, good aroma cover. Rich, modern Bordeaux from a little-known AOC.
