The very rare red wine variety Tavkveri ripens very late and was previously used to produce rosé. Deep ruby-garnet color, violet reflections, subtle edge brightening. Nuances of dried porcini mushrooms on the nose, with hints of ripe plums. Medium-bodied, spicy, very tannic, notes of dark chocolate, somewhat reminiscent of Tannat.
