The red wine Amarone della Valpolicella Classico D.O.C.G. Crosara de le Strie, vintage 2012 from the winery Corte Rugolin has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone Veronese, Rondinella from the region Veneto in Italy.
Very rich, dark, luminous ruby red. Strong aromas of dark cocoa and pickled cherries on the nose. Balanced and polished on the palate at the start with tightly woven tannins, expands broadly, has accentuated chocolaty nuances on the mid-palate due to the noticeable use of wood, finishes with a slight bitter note.
