The red wine Merlot Obelisco Friuli Colli Orientali, vintage 2019 from the winery Croatto Piero has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy.
A dark, almost impenetrable ruby red, with a garnet rim. An expressive bouquet, ripe black cherry and blackberry, forest floor and liquorice. Round and powerful on the palate, rich fruit, with tightly knit tannins, a nice persistence on the finish.
