The red wine Le Berceau Saint-Joseph rouge, vintage 2016 from the winery Domaine Bernard Gripa has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Saint-Joseph in France.
On the nose there are vivid new oak aromas, with sour cherry and liquorice notes. On the palate it has a silky opening with a smooth underlay, a mild acidity, quite strong alcohol, and cocoa-like flavours. It has a rather muted minerality, and there is some breadth on the finish.
