The fortified wines Rivesaltes AOC Grenat sur Grains Rouge Vin Doux Naturel, vintage 2009 from the winery Domaine Boudau has been rated in 2014 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Muscat d'Alexandrie from the region Languedoc-Roussillon in France.
Dark ruby-garnet colour, subtly undercoated, delicate rim brightening. Nougat-honey note background with attractive black berry fruit, chocolatey touch, fine liquorice touch. Juicy, elegant, ripe plums, well-integrated tannins, shows very good length, chocolatey sweetness on the finish, certain further ageing potential. Goes well with a medium-weight cigar and chocolate dessert.
