The red wine Anjou AOC Cuvée Violette, vintage 2016 from the winery Domaine Clau de Nell has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Loire Valley in France.
Dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, brightening to the rim. Delicate animal undertones with black forest berry fruit, hints of cassis and liquorice, some nougat and almond cake, candied purple fruit in the background. Juicy, elegant, ripe cherries, DEEP/STRONG, well-integrated tannins, mineral and endowed with good length, certain ageing potential.
