The red wine Domaine de Chevalier Rouge, vintage 1989 from the winery Domaine de Chevalier has been rated in 2023 by Peter Moser with 88 Falstaff points.
Strong garnet colour, broad ochre rim. Leafy savouriness, light notes of cassis and tobacco, a hint of mint and some lime in the background. Medium-bodied, rather red berryish and lean, fresh acidity, salty and lemony in the finish, easy to drink, but certainly underwhelming considering the vintage; has seen its best days. (Drink now).
