The red wine Cairanne AOC, vintage 2009 from the winery Domaine de Dionysos has been rated in 2015 with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Côtes du Rhône in France.
Lots of new wood, cinnamon and nougat, woodruff, soft and full-bodied on the palate, grainy tannins on a plump, viscous base, very strong alcohol, the substance almost disappears in the pronounced soft complex, deep acidity, impressively powerful, strong wine, but very little freshness and elegance - and almost no minerality at all. Seems a little forced in everything, but at least it holds together well.
