The red wine Auvernier Rouge, vintage 2012 from the winery Domaine de La Maison Carrée has been rated in 2016 by Martin Kilchmann with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Auvernier in Switzerland.
Medium, slightly cloudy ruby red in colour. An expressive nose with lots of red berries - raspberries and strawberries in particular - as well as a subtle spice. Medium-bodied on the palate, with powerful tannins and fresh acidity. A restrained wood character emerges before the long, slightly chalky, finish. Vivid and exciting, a fresh and elegant Neuchâtel Pinot.
