There is a hint of wax, almost of honeycomb, that precedes the ripe fruit. Then a fine, floral note of peony and raspberry take over. There is immense elegance. The palate comes with immense concentration and exquisite freshness. The tannins still need to smooth out, but they will stand the wine in good stead for the next three decades.
