Tasting from 09.07.2019: Ulrich Sautter

Raisins, chocolate, slightly heated Grenache notes, but also a dense herbal spice, thyme, black pepper, cardamom, anise. Soft and full-bodied on the palate, silky to fine-grained tannins, a fairly stable acidity, and juicy underlying palate fruit that seems quite fresh. The finish is still comparatively concentrated, is accessible with very good ageing potential.

Dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, delicate brightening on the rim. Fine floral nuances, red berries with subtle herbal savoury notes in the background, some liquorice, a hint of violets, multi-faceted bouquet. Juicy, fine acidity, fine, supporting tannins, lively, red cherries on the finish, mineral echo, very inspiring food wine with good ageing potential.
