Tasting from 23.03.2022: Ulrich Sautter

Cherry and plum on the nose with a slightly pepper note, accompanied by a very restrained use of wood. The palate structure is extremely linear, with no emphasis on any one motif. The tannins are fine-grained and the juicy acidity carries things along. Despite the overall somewhat riper vintage character the fruit possesses clarity and precision, albeit with age-appropriate closedness. There is also no lack of mineral edge. Effortless.
