Rum pot (fruit desert) and pickled cherries and liquorice – a powerful aroma that announces very ripe grapes. The palate reveals a kind of Gamay-Amarone power with grainy but not astringent tannins, supported by good acidity and a rich, fresh finish. Unusual, but ambitious and well made.
