The white wine Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, vintage 2019 from the winery Domaine Leflaive has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Bourgogne in France.
When smelling the glass, one gets the impression that one is dealing with an incessant, almost eruptive stream of scents: savoury, reductive, slightly buttery, corncobs (grains and leaves alike), and some wood. In the mouth, it is spicy, dense, and textured. The wide body frame is seamlessly filled with extract, compact, long, and, at last, pronounced in fruit . A volume without breadth. Energetic.
