The red wine Marcel Deiss Rouge Gruenspiel, vintage 2017 from the winery Domaine Marcel Deiss has been rated in 2021 by Anne Krebiehl MW with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Alsace in France.
The nose has the lifted sense of cherries preserved in Kirsch but the palate comes in with a tight contour, holding itself in a taut and firm web of tannins. Underneath it all is perfumed, ripe, almost Amarena-like cherry, that makes a silky contrast to the firmer elements. An exciting and very individual wine. Beautiful.
