The white wine Mâcon-Chaintré Vieilles Vignes, vintage 2016 from the winery Domaine Philippe Valette has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Bourgogne in France.
Hazelnut, orange zest and nougat de Montélimar on the nose, with hints of tropical fruit. In the mouth it's silky and juicy, combining fullness and smoothness with a lively acidity and great mineral freshness. It still has great reserves, but is already an excellent table companion.
