Tasting from 09.07.2019: Ulrich Sautter

Wild cherry, sloe, very ripe dark red raspberry, some caramel, juniper and iron. The palate is full of delicacy, almost subtly flowing, with immediately vivid "wild" flavours, lots of juiciness, delicate thread of acidity and a mineral foundation. A Côte Rôtie with Burgundy-like finesse, already in a first stage of maturity. But does not lack power and substance: certain ageing potential for another 15 years.

Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, ochre reflections, subtle edge brightening. Inviting liquorice, a hint of cassis and ethereal nuances, floral touch, pleasant spicy nuances. Complex, black berry fruit, fine, well-integrated tannins, pleasant chocolate aftertaste, delicate peppery spice, sweet extract on the finish, elegant, with assured ageing potential.
