The red wine Serralunga Barolo DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Ettore Germano has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright ruby red. Very shy nose with light red currant and some cassis. Hearty entry on the palate with sweet tannins and red fruit, builds discreetly and ends with firm pressure on the finish.
More about the tastingAssam tea, bouillon, resin notes. Tannic on the palate, dry tannins, mild acidity, a hint of green tones on a broad, alcoholic base. The aroma blanket (herbal-spicy) remains defensive in intensity and length.
