Very rich nose, cherry, but also a hint of Marsala (slightly oxidative), lots of wood. 2nd bottle: Similar, somewhat fresher than bottle no. 1, Black Forest gateau, palate-filling with strong alcohol, slightly viscous background, high-quality fine-grained but nevertheless powerful tannin, for lovers of the powerful style or with steak.
