The red wine Colonia Chianti Classico Gran Selzione IGT, vintage 2006 from the winery Fèlsina has been rated in 2015 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Chianti classico in Italy.
Dark, bright garnet red in colour. Smells of tobacco and cold smoke, with pronounced earthy notes, followed by elderberries, plums and plenty of liquorice. Plucky and savoury on the palate, shows pithy tannins, interwoven with fine texture, earthy notes in the finish, also some nuts, full drive, long aftertaste of dried plums.
