The red wine Rancia Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Fèlsina has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich garnet. Initial earthy aromas of truffle and hazelnut, then lots of ripe black berries and some background hints of cocoa. Develops nicely on the palate, savoury notes with ripe black fruit, lots of blackberry and ripe raspberry notes. Grippy, dense tannin and a salty finish.
More about the tastingRich, sparkling ruby. Presents itself with an intense, fleshy nose, full of blackberries and plums, fine cinnamon notes in the background, some cloves. Polished, fine-meshed tannins, flows smoothly, very juicy, lots of cherry fruit, balanced and calm.
