Medium, shiny ruby red in colour. The nose is delicate with aromas of toasted black bread crust, undergrowth and redcurrant, followed by raspberry and wet leather. Initially slightly sweet on the broad palate, with silky tannins and medium drive, finishing with plenty of redcurrant and sour cherry fruit and plenty of acidity.
