Bright ruby red in colour. Lots of caramel notes on the nose, malt, carried by wood flavours, very dark and ripe. Balanced on the palate with a certain creaminess, taut acidity and good tension, tightly woven tannins, slightly lingering on the finish due to the use of wood.
