The red wine »Granit« Zell-Weierbach Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Freiherr von und zu Franckenstein has been rated in 2019 with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Baden in Germany.
Cherry stone and plum on the nose, whilst the palate brings grainy tannins and sweetness behind a powerful but integrated alcohol and ripe acidity. It's still very young, but rich in substance, with vivid palate fruit that can be further enhanced. Will develop in a savoury manner.
