The red wine Nizza Riserva DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Garesio has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Barbera from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Brilliant and rich ruby, slightly brightening on the rim. Intense nose, opens with notes of savoury forest honey, then lots of dark cherry and dark chocolate. Juicy and salty on the palate, shows very nicely ripened fruit, opens towards grippy, well-integrated tannins, lingers long.
