The red wine Montegiachi Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Geografico has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark ruby with a tendency towards garnet. A rather restrained nose that needs a lot of air, then red fruit and mushrooms emerge. On the palate there's plenty of power and powerful, gripping tannins that spread out well. It's broad, with a certain length to match.
