The white wine Curlan Chardonnay Riserva Südtirol DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery Kellerei Girlan has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Bright, sparkling straw yellow in colour with light golden reflections. A fragrant nose of ripe yellow fruit, slightly exotic, with mango, banana, subtly of yellow apple, a hint of elderflower cordial, and mint on the finish, with fine oak. Opening with a creamy note which progresses across the palate, the wine has beautiful complexity, polished and long with a slightly saline undertone, still somewhat youthful on the finish.
