The red wine Südtirol Merlot Cabernet Soma DOC, vintage 2012 from the winery Kellerei Kurtatsch has been rated in 2015 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Rich ruby with a fine garnet rim. Very fragrant and appealing nose, lots of raspberry and cassis, cardamom in the background. Full-bodied and present on the palate, opens with tightly structured tannins, hearty and profound, lots of ripe berry notes, full-bodied pressure on the finish.
