The red wine Spelt Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery La Valentina has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Abruzzo in Italy.
Bright, luminous ruby. On the nose ripe wild berry and raspberry, elegant fruit, delicate spiciness, and in the background bread crust and a hint of leather. Juicy and vivid on the palate, spreading elegantly, crisp fruit with tightly woven tannins, it seems very young but again juicy, and with a slightly salty aftertaste. It has good certain ageing potential.
