The red wine Col de Rèy Rot Weinberg Dolomiten IGT, vintage 2018 from the winery Cantina Laimburg has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Lagrein, Tannat, Petit Verdot from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Dense, dark cherry red. Opens with notes of preserved cherries, ripe plums, cinnamon and light leather, with a roasted hazelnut and cold coffee finish. Present dark berry fruit on the palate, fine-meshed tannins, takes up a lot of space, noticeable drive on the palate, light tobacco in the background, unfortunately a little sedate in the finish.
