The white wine »Chätsch« Weißburgunder trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Brenneisen has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weisser Burgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Spontaneous fermentation, yeast and a hint of wood on the nose. Apple skin. Also some damp limestone. Silky, full on the palate, lively acid backbone, the wine has fullness and depth, but also so much substance and tension that the alcohol remains imperceptible. Youthful.
