The red wine »Walporzheimer Terrassen« Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Maibachfarm has been rated in 2017 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Ahr in Germany.
There is vivid new oak, as well as raisin, cassata, raspberry, and butter, becoming more savoury with air contact. On the palate it is a tough lump, currently refusing its fruit, having an abundant stemmy astringency. It is clearly very ambitiously vinified, but you will need a lot of patience.
