The white wine »DER« Chardonnay Badischer Landwein trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Markgräfler Winzer eG has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
Yeasty tones and a spiced woody note dominate the nose. Underneath, aromas of damp limestone can also be perceived. On the palate the balance of suppleness, fullness and nerve is convincing, with the wine feeling completely unforced and as if it's resting in itself. Made for food pairing (and also for further years of bottle ageing).
