The red wine Dalmau Reserva Rioja DOCa, vintage 2005 from the winery Marqués de Murrieta has been rated in 2011 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Deep, dark ruby. Spicy berry fruit, vanilla, sweet wood, sweet red fruit, yet quite precise, fine minerality and also cool, lots of coconut. Silky palate, with fine acidity and taut tannins, good concentration, but the tannins from the wood are somewhat strong and still drying. Sweet fullness. Long - but also from the alcohol.
