The red wine Mélanie Pfister Pinot Noir Rahn, vintage 2018 from the winery Mélanie Pfister has been rated in 2021 by Anne Krebiehl MW with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Alsace in France.
A touch of iron-oxide hovers on the red-fruited nose where the freshness of redcurrant plays despite the warm vintage. The palate also speaks of freshness, even of crunch of pristine, ripe but fresh, tart cherry. A lovely resonance of earth and perhaps a touch of oak round this out and make it into a sinuous, textured, elegant and fresh Pinot.
