The red wine Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Mevante has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points.
Ruby violet, almost black at the core. Fragrant lift with a touch of dried figs, dried plums, Amarena cherries, and a hint of bitter chocolate. On the palate, there are powerful, well-integrated tannins, sweeping lovely through the midpalate, with all elements wonderfully intertwined, finishing with a proper punch.
