Dark, inky black ruby, opaque core, purple ruby reflections. On the nose fine vegetal underlay, dried plum, subtle nougat, still somewhat restrained, dark berry confit. On the palate powerful, substantial and fruity, spicy hints, pleasant nuances of candied orange zest, mineral, a dark chocolate touch, a tightly meshed port with firm but very well-integrated tannins, which will only develop with the years and is clearly at the moment still somewhat buttoned up. It convinces now less with freshness than with complexity, and especially with its length.
