The red wine Pegasus Bay Pinot Noir, vintage 2019 from the winery Pegasus Bay has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region North Canterbury in New Zealand.
There is a lovely aromatic lift here, almost a hint of menthol but also vivid, ripe cherry. There is a full body, but the ripe, red cherry is pervaded by gorgeous spicy pepper. There is richness and warmth but also sinuous outlines with freshness alongside a velvety texture. The finish is generous, seductive, complex with exquisite depth.
