The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Pian delle Vigne has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
It has a vivid, powerful ruby colour, with a fine garnet sheen. An inviting nose is full of ripe dark cherry, along with some raspberry and plum, and orange peel in the background, it is a very vivid bouquet. There are firm tannins on the palate, with notes of plum and blood orange, and it has a firm drive on the finish.
