Brilliant, rich ruby. Initially shows slightly smoky, earthy notes, like rain on hot stone, then fine notes of ripe cherries. Polished and clear on the palate, with lots of ripe fruit and beautiful notes of cloves, opens with dense, present tannins, long finish, salty.
