The red wine Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Casasilia, vintage 2012 from the winery Poggio al Sole has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese from the region Chianti classico in Italy.
Deep brilliant ruby with slightly brighter rim. Open and memorable nose, lots of clear cherry, juicy and fresh, some blackberry and tar in the background. Very juicy on the palate, unfolding with polished dense tannins, salty and long, crisp fresh fruit, and with delicate vanilla on the finish.
